Patwa Apparel is among seven Caribbean designers to showcase on the upcoming Dominicana Moda (DM2013) in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, on October 21-26, 2013. This is made possible by Caribbean Export Development Agency (CEDA), the regional export development and trade and investment promotion organisation of the Forum of Caribbean States (CARIFORUM).

The only risk is wanting to stay”, are words that echoed loudly in my ear and resonated therein for a long while. As I read from a promotional brochure, thought of them as mere empty words intended to attract visitors to a country.

I started business over six years ago. On numerous occasions I’m asked, "What advice would you give to someone wanting to start their own business?"  My response always begins with a response that would seemingly have nothing to do with business.  “Get over your fear and 90% of the battle has been won”. For many of us FEAR – False Expectations Appearing Real – is what keeps us from experiencing our full potential.
